An inspiration yesterday - Now I am building 180 websites in 180 days !

As I woke up yesterday and switched on the m/c, somehow instead of reading the e-paper of national dailies, I turned over to Hack News.

And there on the top was this amazing post from Jennifer Dewalt, about how she is building 180 websites in 180 days.

To say the least, I was blown away. It hit me like a blast from the past.

As the past posts of this blog can point, I have been on and off, trying to learn code since I started my entrepreneurship journey.

Though, I do not say that I know how to code now, but I can fairly understand tits and bits of the pieces which allowed me to maintain the web app of my previous venture {the site is still live though} Vikreyta .

I did all kind of work there, both on the front-end and server-end and have a complete log of changes I made, or put some new feature live.

I was the lead engineer of my own venture, when we had 6 + 1 team.

But, I never put any of my own complete code live, which I can say "Yes, this is mine".

Reading this Hacker News post  I'm learning to code by building 180 websites in 180 days. Today is day 115 ,  just shook me.

And then I realised that, this is the actual way to do and do it well, and if she can, I can too.

Its not that, earlier I ahve not tried to build things, I have tinkered with Rails, Php, Django, trying to build simple stuff, in the tutorials, but I do not know, I always gave them up. They never enticed me.

But this thing, building something new, everyday, is the real great stuff. This is the way to do it.

Now, I shall too be trying to build 180 websites in 180 days.

More than 3 years , since I quit my last job and a failed startup , I do not have money left for 180 days, and if my new venture Ayna do not progress in the meanwhile, I will have to quit my dream and will have to look for a job. But still, let see, how far can I go with this endeavour, given the constraints of money and working on Ayna.

And this could be my last chance in this life, to learn and build something by code, and I am going to work on this also, in the same manner.

I shall be following the way Jennifer Dewalt has taken, but would not be copying the stuff, she has done, as it does not serve, any purpose as it is.

Also, I shall be blogging here and pushing the code to Github too.

And I start today...
